about

'soundscape overview' is comprised of a series of recordings paired with photographs, stemming from research conducted by Demetrio Cecchitelli with a fujifilm mx-1200 digital point-and-shoot camera, from autumn 2018 to spring 2019. The work is testament to the dialogue between sounds, forms and images. Discovering an intuitive relationship between image and sound, the artist sought parallel sites throughout his home city of Rimini. The audio material comes from no-input analog sessions, found sounds, and concrete compositions recorded in real time.

Demetrio Cecchitelli (b. 1997) is a research musician and composer, mainly active in the fields of ambient and electroacoustic music. Released worldwide on numerous record labels, across Europe, United States, Russia and Japan. Performed in international contexts of the electronic music scene. Collaborated, as sound designer, with theatre company Motus ("Everything Burns" trilogy) and NicoNote ("REGOLA"), among others.
