A short composition in two parts, comprised of edited and layered segments from a 40 minute live performance recorded in my studio in Montreal. A show on 30 May was cancelled at the last minute, and this was what I had in mind for my set.

Earlier in May I returned to Minneapolis to defend my doctoral dissertation. After doing so, I embarked on a kind of nostalgia tour, hitting up my favorite spots in the Twin Cities. Most of these were restaurants. But one of my absolute favorite places is Walker Art Center, an excellent contemporary art museum and performance space with a rich history of experimental music.

The field recordings that form the basis of this recording were recorded in Loring Park, the Walker Sculpture Garden, and within the Walker itself, as I walked through the galleries following my ears rather than my eyes. "Walker" is a reflection on time and space and the ways nostalgic memory mixes things up into a psychogeographic fantasy.
